The NUPW Insurance Agent Inc (NUPWIAI) is a 100% owned subsidiary of the National Union of Public Workers (NUPW) and was incorporated in 2012. The company is situated at NUPW Headquarters in the Horatio Cooke Complex, Dalkeith Road, St. Michael next door to two leading historic enterprises namely the Barbados Museum and the Garrison Savannah.
The NUPW Ins. Agent Inc. is largely responsible for the administration of the thirty year (30) old medical plan of the NUPW’s membership but is registered with the Financial Services Commission (FSC) to sell insurance products of Sagicor Life Inc. and Sagicor General Insurance companies.

Anne-Marie enriches the Board with her rich civil service career and union involvement. Currently she is employed as Senior Personnel Officer, Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation.

As a person dedicated to the wellbeing of employees she sits as a Councilor on the National Council of the National Union of Public Worker (NUPW) from where she promotes and protests workers’ interest. Anne-Marie is also the Representative of the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Associations of Barbados (CTUSAB) on the board of the Graydon Sealy Secondary School Board.

Tyrone Lowe
Consulting Executive
Tyrone Lowe is a Financial Advisor with almost thirty (30) years’ experience in the insurance and financial services industry. His career includes positions with a number of companies including Life Of Barbados Ltd, Sagicor Life Inc and Guardian Life. He served as Assistant Vice President, Sales Development with the Insurance Corporation of Barbados Limited (ICBL) and pioneered in starting that company’s life insurance sales operations.
Tyrone is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU); Chartered Financial Consultant (CH.F.C); Certified Health Specialist (CHS) and a Financial Services Specialist (FSS). He also holds a Masters in International Business Law.
He has served the financial and insurance services industry both locally and regionally. He served as President and other capacities on the board of directors of the Barbados Association of Insurance & Financial advisors (BARAIFA). He also served as a director of the Caribbean Association of Insurance & Financial Advisors (CARAIFA) and pioneered the creation of the CARAIFA Foundation, a charity dedicated to kidney education awareness..
Jalisa Philips
Accounts & IT Co-ordinator
Jalissa, Accounts and IT Co-Ordinator holds a BA in Accounts from the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus and is currently in enrolled in the CPA / PEP Accounting Program. Jalissa covers all the nuts and bolts of the daily operations of the office. She loves to sing and enjoys special time with her family.
Claudine Mayers
Insurance Co-ordinator
Claudine who is the Insurance Co-Ordinator, joined the Organization from inception and has seen it though its highs and lows. Claudine a trained Dental Assistant and BDI graduate who is currently studying LOMA, knows all her customers by face, name and history and ensures that all times they get the best service. A devoted mother of a daughter, she devotes most of her spare time to taking care of her family and enjoying her past time of reading books and baking.
Cassidy Francis
Cashier and Customer Service Representative.
Cassidy who is the Cashier/ Customer Service Rep joined the Organization two years. She studied Office Management at Barbados Community College and is currently enrolled in the Life Health and Management Program (LOMA). Cassidy enjoys cooking and trying new receipes in her free time.
Nicole Marville
Customer Service Representative.
Nicole, our Customer Service Representative joined our organization recently. Nicole brings over twenty-five years of experience in the Insurance and Finance industries, and enjoys giving service and attention to our members. The devoted mother of two young men, she balances her time between church, family and work.
